Causes severe burns to skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Avoid direct contact and inhalation.
Inhalation can lead to respiratory tract damage, nausea, pulmonary edema, and systemic effects.
In fire, use water spray, foam, dry chemical, or CO₂. Do not use direct water jets.
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, well-ventilated flammables cabinet. Avoid contact with metals and oxidizers.
UN No: UN2789 | DOT Hazard Class: 8 (Corrosive) / 3 (Flammable) | Packaging Group: II
Avoid release into drains. Although readily biodegradable, concentrated acetic acid poses aquatic toxicity in large quantities.
Use chemical-resistant gloves (butyl rubber preferred), goggles or face shield, flame-retardant protective clothing, and E-class respirators if ventilation is inadequate.
